Read without optional memory, or choose to save your place on this device.
The rental handoff checklist does not use cookies or localStorage for its choices or progress. It works in the current page only. A separate optional feature remembers an article’s reading position after consent.

Storage inventory
Reading-feature storage
- rod_privacy_v1 · first-party cookie
- Records preference version, reading choice and timestamp after a deliberate saved choice. Maximum 180 days, scoped to this website path. A later choice replaces it; browser site-data controls can remove it.
- rod_reading_v1 · localStorage
- Optional article paths, reading positions and timestamps. Initialized only after reading-position consent, including an empty record on non-article pages. Entries at least 180 days old are ignored when read. Expired entries are removed on the next saved reading-position write, where browser access permits; each such write saves at most 30 records. Reading alone does not rewrite localStorage. Rejecting or disabling the option attempts to remove the record. Unused localStorage may remain until a later saved reading-position write, rejection or removal through browser controls.
- Role, stage and focus selections
- Current-page memory only. The question sorter does not persist these inputs; Reset choices removes them from the current page.
Other website technologies
The question sorter and reading controls do not include analytics, advertising tags or third-party media players. Other WordPress plugins, embedded content and hosting services can operate separately. Reading-preference controls govern only the reading feature; they do not control those services or establish a complete inventory of the website.
WordPress sign-in and administration may use separate authentication cookies for signed-in users. These reading controls do not remove authentication cookies, email, server logs or records at linked websites. This list describes reading-feature storage and any additional details the publisher has supplied.
Your choice
The first-visit notice offers Accept optional, Reject optional and Settings with equal visual treatment. Optional memory stays off until you choose it. Reopen settings from the footer on any page. Rejecting or withdrawing clears this publication’s optional reading records, not data created by unrelated websites or software.
If storage is unavailable
If the browser cannot save the preference, optional memory remains off. Articles and the local checklist still work. Browser cleanup or private mode may remove choices and cause the notice to appear again.
What these controls cover
They manage the reading feature identified here, not external source websites or independent services outside this publication’s control. The Privacy Policy explains website delivery and correspondence.
